Monarch retires the last Airbus A300 in Europe

The retirement of the Airbus A300, in Europe, will take place next Sunday, 13/4/14.

Monarch's farewell flight ZB300, will be LGW-BHX, and marks the last A300 flight of a Western carrier. We still have Iran Air and Kuwait Airways flying to Europe in A300, but we are bound to see freighters only in the short term.

My first flight in an A300 was in the summer of 2014 FRA-ZRH, just 50 minutes of flight, in a totally packed D-AIAR.

A few months later I returned to Frankfurt in another A300.

A300 retired by Iberia, rotting in Valencia:

You can still book ZB300, go to www.Monarch.co.uk
