Larry Brown was fired
The Knicks' mess took one tiny small step away to be solved. Larry Brown, NBA champion with the Pistons two years ago, got axed one year through his 5 year / 50 M USD contract. He is owed the remaining 40 million and it seems league comissioner David Stern will have a say on the actual amount handed for no coaching.
Larry is a lucky guy as he will get the money (or part of it) and go elsewhere, while Isiah pretends to be a coach, Dolan to be an owner, and Marbury to be an MVP.
The knicks will improve slightly from being the league second worst team (while tops in salaries paid!!) with an horrible coach who seeks incompetent protagonism. Lets remember Isiah first coaching tenure turned (Larry Brown's built and followed by Bird) contender Pacers team into a first rounder loser for three straight years. Larry Bird fired him immediatly after becoming team manager, coming back from retirement.
Dolan is just a spoiled kid wasting his fathers' money.
Marbury and Francis are likely to get green light to hog, as Isiah will surely be less stringent of two point guards. I see them both averaging 20 shots a game, and less than 10 comined assists.
The Knicks record will improve slighty, as the hogs will have the mouths full of shots (missed) avoiding them to sulk all the time, but playoffs will be a mirage for the next few years.
